Prestigious mid-town financial service company is adding depth to their  team by hiring a Portfolio Management Assistant (PMA).   This person will work on the trading desk supporting a senior portfolio manager within a growing and successful team.  <\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n

–         Monitor cash positions
–         Monitor security holdings
–         Coordinate with back & middle office
–         Monitor duration exposures
–         Monitor cash flows
–         Perform account maintenance
–         Monitor intra-day holdings and control for net balance of Treasury bonds held in each
          account after accounting for Treasuries bought & sold intra-day so that no short sales
          occur
–         Process transactions and input trades into Investment Management System
–         Monitor FX Forward exposure
–         Monitor futures exposure and deal with the Derivative Ops and Futures Clearer
–         Maintain client information list
–         Trouble-shoot and problem-solve as necessary when there are trade fails or other
           discrepancies requiring investigation
–         This particular position \/ candidate with the demonstrated aptitude\/  would have the
           potential to become an Assistant Portfolio Manager, which would involve the following
           functions:<\/p>\n

<\/strong>
–  Provide input into portfolio strategy with regard to sector positioning, and participate in the development of the team\u2019s investment policy
–  Recommend and execute trades, being able to articulate the exact rationale for each investment decision while providing supporting research
–  Produce key trade write-ups, participate in client meetings and marketing activity<\/p>\n

Whar we are looking for in a candidate:<\/b><\/p>\n

–         2-4 years experience in a related position either at an investment management firm or at
          a bank or broker-dealer
–         Basic understanding of wide array of securities 
–         Ability to help perform spreadsheet data analysis
–         Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
–         Ability to work effectively under tight time constraints when necessary
–         A demonstrated proclivity for attention to detail
–         Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
–         Interested in potential career growth into an Assistant Portfolio Manager

Requirements<\/span>Degree with 2+ years of experience from a similar investment environment…must possess the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment..<\/p>\n
