Vanguard, one of the world’s largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice, seeks a senior derivatives trader. As a senior derivatives trader, you’ll be responsible for executing futures, swaps, swaptions and other fixed income derivatives trades.<\/p>\n

Your primary duties and responsibilities:
-Analyze derivative instruments and derivatives related investment strategies for the purpose of increasing portfolio returns and\/or reducing risk.
-Evaluate and participate in the development of models for analyzing derivatives and derivatives strategies.
-Research derivatives markets and provide commentary on relevant issues.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate should possess:<\/p>\n

-Five to seven years of investment, portfolio management or capital markets work experience. Minimum of two to three years experience with trading and\/or researching fixed income derivatives.
-Undergraduate degree in a quantitative area such as finance, economics, mathematics or computer science.
-Advanced academic credentials including MBA and\/or CFA preferred.
-High level of familiarity with rates, agencies, corporates, municipal & structured finance markets is required.
-Strong knowledge of key rate duration, convexity, option greeks, and fixed income derivatives theory.
-Strong computer skills including Excel and VBA.
-Superior interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the desire to thrive in a team oriented environment are essential.
-The potential and willingness to undertake increased responsibilities.<\/p>\n
