The firm currently manages approximately $825 million in client assets for private clients, corporate pension plans, non-profit institutions and endowments. As a result of Portfolio Solutions\u00ae, LLC rapid growth and increasing demand for its unique low-cost investment management and planning we are searching for a Portfolio Administrator \/ Trader to join our team at our Troy, Michigan location. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, as well as a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities. <\/p>\n

Portfolio Administrator Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n

Oversees the daily reconciliation of all client accounts on Advent Axys investment accounting system
Daily reconciliation of client accounts to custodial data
Resolves discrepancies with account holdings
Open client accounts within the investment accounting system
Maintain and update client information in required systems and ensure accuracy
Update and maintain daily security price files
Monitor daily cash movements in all clients accounts
Assist with quarter-end client performance report production process
Maintain a high level of collaboration with the investment operation team to provide effective strategies, solutions and optimal levels of service that exceeds client expectations <\/p>\n

Trading Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n

Adheres to all regulatory, company and departmental compliance policies and procedures to minimize financial liability exposure to clients and Portfolio Solutions.
Maintain a high level of collaboration with the investment operation team to provide effective strategies, solutions and optimal levels of service that exceeds client expectations
Serves as the primary equity and fixed income Trader as directed\/instructed by the portfolio management team
Oversees the timely settlement of equity and fixed income trades and trade reconciliation

Qualifications and Technical Experience:<\/p>\n

Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting, and\/or Series 65 or 7 may be beneficial but not required.<\/p>\n

An understanding of investments, excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills. <\/p>\n

1-5 years of investment experience working with mutual funds, ETF\u2019s and bonds.<\/p>\n

Working knowledge of Advent Axys, Bloomberg, and\/or trade order management systems a plus<\/p>\n

Ability to work normal office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m. EST.
Punctuality and reliability are essential; courteous and professional demeanor required.
Enthusiastic, cheerful and highly motivated.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
High degree of integrity and honesty <\/p>\n
