The Global Portfolio Optimization (GPO) team monitors and manages the risks faced by the Citigroup Global Corporate & Investment Bank Corporate Loan Portfolio. GPO uses various tools to manage the overall portfolio including asset sales, credit default swap purchases, and various other structured credit tools.
GPO is looking for an analyst to aid in the smooth execution of the day to day operations of the group as they manage and monitor the credit risk of the firm’s corporate client relationships.
Responsibilities:
* Daily tasks will include but are not limited to management / reporting of all GPO sale / hedging activity,
* Monitoring the market risk and P&L of the GPO hedge book,
* Liaising with private side portfolio managers and bankers, and
* Participate in various other GPO initiatives as they relate to the overall credit portfolio
Requirements Educational Level Required:
* BS/BA degree
Developmental Value:
* Exposure to Credit Markets and how products interact
* Broad knowledge of Fixed Income
* Citi hedging credit and loan portfolio
Qualifications:
* At least 1 year in financial services
* Understanding of middle office, trading functions
* Proficient in excel, VBA
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
* Internal candidates with experience in dealing with the complexities of Citigroup systems also a plus
* Highly motivated, organized, detail and team-oriented, with strong quantitative skills
* Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
