Job Summary: Develop and maintain a broader base of DDGS customers. Efficiently work with the DDGS team in marketing GPRE’s daily DDGS production along with buying/selling (trading) DDGS produced from other ethanol companies. Work with management team to maximize returns and control costs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following
· Build and maintain relationships with national and local customer base
· Develop market and pricing strategies for DDGS
· Market daily DDGS production
· Manage positions and necessary futures accounts
· Manage the company’s exposure in commodity markets
· Manage risk by operating within established guidelines
· Collect market information and maintain a comprehensive knowledge regarding DDGS markets
· Review DDGS contracts and settlements for completeness and accuracy
· Maintain communication with logistics and credit department receivables to maintain operations
· Work effectively within a team environment and independently
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
· DDGS trading experience preferred
· 3-5 years successful commodities trading experience required
· Self-starter, highly organized, able to work on own
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software
· Bachelor’s degree — degree in related areas of Agriculture, Finance or Economics preferred
