  • Risk Manager / Senior FX Trader ($80-100K)

    The role is responsible for serving as the senior trader and managing risk in spot FX, CFD’s, and options markets. This will involve working the European trading desk in managing the firms overall risk accounts, counter-party trades and retail FX flow.

    Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

    * To be responsible for FX products across spot markets and managing the firms overall book.
    * Execution of clients’ orders for currencies, commodities and CFDs.
    * Monitoring and checking instruments prices on major international financial exchanges.
    * To be directly responsible for assigned profit goals in align with the firms capital.
    * Monitor European and New York Markets and hedge client flow out according across multiple liquidity providers
    * Develop and consistently improve the firms risk model as new client flow is built up.
    * Maximize Profit and Minimize risk within acceptability through; STP, Market Making, Positioning, and trading within approved limits and policies and procedures.
    * Run daily P/L reports and market risk reports
    * Maintain close relationships with other Banks in order to support business in this area
    * Keep up-to-date with interest rate movements and currency fluctuations internationally through studying country economic indicators, etc.
    * Maintain skill set by undertaking relevant training throughout year.

    Requirements

    Background and Experience:

    Individuals having a thorough knowledge of their product area and sectors including, market liquidity, volatility, pricing plus trading/hedging strategies. Provide both technical and product support to senior staff. They will have the ability to handle all types of trading situations and are only confined by risk limitations.

    Experience required for the Job:

    * University degree in finance, business or economics
    * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the financial sector
    * Familiar with Metatrader 4, Currenex, and other online trading platforms
    * Self-confident and Self-motivated
    * Work effectively under constant pressure
    * Strong understanding of the financial markets and different financial instruments
    * Strong analytical skills
    * Good communication skills
    * Team player

    Work environment:

    * 10 hours, shift rotation 4 European Sessions.
    * Reporting to senior dealers
    * Communication with other departments (back office, accounting, customer service)

    Assist the Team Leader and Trader in formulating the team’s middle and long-term hedge plan and trading strategies. Function as an Assistant Trader and Analyst.

    Responsibilities:

    * Assist the Team Leader and Trader in formulating the team’s middle and long-term hedge plan and trading strategies.
    * Will conduct credit analysis of US corporates, formulate a hedge plan and will then create an application to implement the plan. Will execute credit derivatives trades in line with the bank’s guidelines.
    * In addition, will conduct credit analysis of European and Latin American corporate names.
    * Create a daily market recap to report to the Tokyo Head Office. Respond to inquiries from Head Office by creating reports, and recap with an opinion.
    * Conduct research into regulations, laws, market rules, systems and any other issues related to credit derivatives.
    * Support any other exit strategies within the bank’s guidelines.
    * Develop and upgrade the bank’s credit portfolio management (hedge) techniques. The candidate is expected to be very experienced in this field.
    * Develop and upgrade system infrastructure. The candidate is expected to be experienced in trading flow infrastructure.
    * Implement front system operations. Communicate to the middle and back office to complete and settle trade operations. The candidate must have good communication skills.
    * Support team leader and trader in audits, on/offsite monitoring and investigations by internal and external auditors.
    * Communicate with the Head Office in Japanese.
    * Conduct other assignments as required by the Team Leader and Trader.

    Requirements

    Experience/Abilities:

    * The candidate should have an outstanding knowledge of corporate credit analysis. Experience analyzing credit derivatives or fixed income transactions at a large investment bank or asset manager is also desirable.
    * The candidate is expected to be a highly motivated, proactive, creative, challenging and flexible person.
    * The candidate should have a high sense of responsibility.
    * The candidate will be required to trade single name CDS and CDX. It is not necessary to have prior trading experience. However, basic credit market knowledge is required.
    * A candidate with back office experience is welcome.
    * Fluency in English and Japanese is required.
    * Experienced in trading flow infrastructure is required.
