Rapidly growing Chicago-based proprietary trading firm seeks a Junior Trader. This entry-level position is perfect for a talented college graduate who is highly motivated, a fast learner and enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced technical environment. No prior industry experience needed. On-the-job training will be offered.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field
• Strong GPA (3.75 or higher)

Required Skills:

• Strong computer skills with the ability to do development in a programming language (e.g. VBA, C++, C+, R)
• Math aptitude , analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to perform light development in a programming language using multi-dimensional arrays, nested loops, complex conditionals and simple file I/O
• React calmly and quickly in an electronic trading environment
• Demonstrated interest in trading
• Fast learner
• Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment
• Maintains integrity at all times
• Values teamwork but can think and work independently
• Self-motivated and self-directed in personal growth and learning
• Communicates effectively while under pressure
• Adapt easily to changing situations
• Maintains focus with a strong drive for success
• Ability to work on a competitive team
• Demonstrates mental discipline and ability to solve problems under pressure
• Willing to work the overnight shift
  • Asian market (4pm – midnight)
  • Euro market (Midnight – 9am)
