    PORTFOLIO MANAGER/MANAGING DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT PERSON


    Company:
    We are an independent asset management firm that has built up a loyal client base with assets of $45 million. We currently have three employees and manage separate accounts with an emphasis on asset allocation. Portfolios are structured using equities and fixed income holdings. Equities are chosen following in-depth, in-house research of individual stocks, and fixed income exposure comes primarily through well-researched, high quality mutual funds. We are small but well respected. Our philosophy is to invest based on rigorous analysis of long-term company fundamentals using both value and GARP strategies. Our portfolios have outperformed the S&P 500 by 400 basis points on average annually over the last 10 years.

    Description:
    This is a very key position. We are seeking an entrepreneurial individual with a passion and talent for investing to join our firm as Portfolio Manager and hit the ground running from the day one to help our founder run and grow the business. We foresee the person will become, in a few years, our primary decision maker on investments and asset allocation and will run the business.
     Requirements

    Qualifications:

    We are looking to hire a person with keen understanding of the major issues facing investors today and a commitment to deep investment research who can generate superior portfolio returns. The ideal candidate for our Portfolio Manager position would be someone with 5-15 years of experience in the investment industry who is already comfortable with making investment decisions and can also help our firm’s founder to grow the platform by soliciting new business. Our plan is to transition primary responsibility for investments and asset allocation to the Portfolio Manager, with the founder focusing primarily on growing the business.

    Compensation:
    The package will consist of a base salary of $90,000-150,000 plus bonus and part ownership in the business.     Job Description – Quality Assurance Analyst / Tester
    Description
    The candidate will perform manual and develop automated testing for our real-time trading platform. This role requires frequent interaction with developers, product managers, and client support analysts in order to ensure that we deliver a quality-trading platform to our users.
      
    Responsibilities
    • Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy and test cases
    • Strong background in reviewing business and functional requirements in order to produce a test strategy and test cases
    • Automation of regression test scripts
    • Perform manual and automated functional and regression testing on all internally developed applications to certify them for production implementation
    • Report and manage software issues and test activities throughout the software development life cycle
    • Work closely with other QA department members to create/maintain manual and automated regression scripts
    Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four year college or university with a major in computer science, finance or mathematics
    • Minimum 3 Years of hands-on automation scripting experience
    • FIX API testing experience is preferred
    • Must be proficient with one of the existing mainstream automation tools (Only possessing record and playback knowledge is insufficient in this case)
    • Must be proficient in one of the scripting languages. Preferably Perl or Jython
    • Must be proficient with SQL
    • Knowledge of SQA methodologies and practices
    • Extensive knowledge of testing process, testing methodology analysis and defect reporting tools
    • Ability to work independently and productively under pressure
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and decision making ability
    • Knowledge of CDS business and industry is a plus
    • Experience in Load/Performance automation testing is a plus
