Role:
This role will manage the day to day operations of the Futures and Forex business by overseeing account openings, ensuring that books and records are maintained properly, and by detecting and resolving areas of risk to the business. Is responsible for resolving client and clearing firm escalations from direct reports, and may work directly with staff, clients and/or the clearing FCM to do so. Will initially be responsible for an organization of 20 people and will oversee multiple functions: new accounts, account services, margins and risks, ops control (reconciliations etc). This business is anticipated to be a high growth segment of TD AMERITRADE business. This role is initially focused on retail futures customers, but may eventually expand to cover Commodity Trading Advisors and Commodity Pool Operators as well.

Responsibilities:
# Reviews internally generated reports as well as reports from clearing FCM, to detect errors, sources of risk and monitor daily activities
# Guides managers on how to perform their tasks/accountabilities
# Resolves escalations from front line associates and managers
# Maintains relationship with clearing FCM
# Set strategy for a segment of the business unit
# Position is often unpredictable, with unexpected events/ambiguity and/or changed priorities; position can manage simple to moderately complex issues by interpreting and acting on set strategy
# Make broader decisions that impact Clients or processes/projects based on set strategy
# Mitigate rick by ensuring that Futures/Forex business functions operate effectively and efficiently
# Implement strategies in partnership with the active trader group
# Determines how to comply with rules and regulations, how to liaise with clearing FCM as well as Compliance
Requirements Requirements:
# Knowledge of this segment of the Futures Industry preferred
# Exhibit a client centric focus when managing daily workflow
# Demonstrate a positive and professional image at all times
# Must communicate effectively with Technology to implement the strategies and goals of the firm successfully
# Must be self-motivated and client service oriented
# Must be adept at communicating for interpretation
# Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
# Must demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
# Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
# Must have working knowledge of trading, clearing and settlement
# Must understand margins and risk within the Futures and Forex context
# Must have knowledge of the systems and facilities where trades are executed, and compliance in the Futures and Forex industry
# Advanced proficiency in using a personal computer and various database management programs and internet browser based applications
# 4 years of college or equivalent work experience
# 6 to 7 years industry experience
# Series 3 required, Series 24 preferred
