    Active Trader Consultants focus on revenue generation and building strong long-term relationships with our active trading clients, this includes educating clients on E*TRADE FINANCIAL’S wide range of products, platforms and services and presenting them with solutions that meet their trading needs. They offer our clients a personal connection to E*TRADE, and help them be successful traders. Whether that involves analyzing trading strategies with clients, or providing training and support on our trading platforms, our Active Trader Consultants are ready to make the client experience a great one!

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    REVENUE GENERATION
    * Through inbound calls, outbound calls and customer appointments the ATC will match the proper E*TRADE product with the clients trading needs to maximize revenue
    * Acquire New Clients through referrals from existing client base
    * Acquire new households through lead generation from seminar presentations
    * Perform asset gathering to increase household wealth
    * Articulate information, to the customer, about E*TRADE Financial, what it is that sets us apart from our competitors and the products/services available

    RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT / CUSTOMER SERVICE

    * Ensure retention of base clients and continually develop new clients
    * Review orders and/or escalate any trading related issues
    * Regularly exercise discretion and business judgment; research and resolve customer problems related to E*TRADE Securities accounts immediately or lose current opportunity to acquire assets.
    * Maintain and update prospect and sales reports. Responsible for the accurate incentives paid to referral sources.

    FINANCIAL EDUCATION
    * Conduct training seminars to potential and current Active Trader clients
    * Provide training and support on our trading platforms
    * Analyze and discuss trading strategies
    * Compare product and service details in comparison to professional competition; which requires advance knowledge and preparation, and the regular use of independent judgment.

    Requirements

    # Series 7and 63 required Series 3 preferred, Clean U4. Series 3 must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
    # Minimum 3 years brokerage experience required or 1 year E*TRADE Elite Customer Service experience.
    # 2+ years of proactive, successful sales experience in the financial services industry
    # Ability to professionally conduct group seminars
    # Thorough understanding of the securities industry including stocks, options and futures trading.
    # Strong history of success in building client relationships and client retention experience
    # Must be self-motivated with an outgoing personality and work well in a team setting
    # Must have positive and professional customer service attitude.
    # Utilize independent decision-making skills to handle and resolve issues. Ability to work independently.
    # Computer literacy including familiarity with online services, trading solution platforms, PC skills, and technical resolution. Ability to troubleshoot basic to advanced technical problems
    # Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks
    # Must be focused on bottom line performance and constantly looking at ways to improve overall performance, sales, customer satisfaction and entire customer experience.
    # Travel – The Active Trader Consultant will be called upon to travel and represent E*TRADE at various seminars, Co-sponsored marketing events, Grand Openings, and industry trade shows.
    # Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.

    Manager, Active Trader Relationship Managers focus is to coach and mentor all Active Trader Consultants on their team on the objective to maintain and deepen relationships with existing active traders and initiate new relationships with Active Trader prospects. This includes educating ATCs on E*TRADE FINANCIAL’S wide range of products, platforms and services and presenting them with solutions that meet their sales needs.

    Essential Job Functions:

    * Increased focus on key division metrics resulting in increased revenues, increased assets, new households, leads, referrals, and closure rates by promoting the use of Active Trader service and product offerings.
    * Proactive and strategic business development initiatives that increase E*TRADE AT brand awareness within Investment Branch and National Branch footprints.
    * Set high performance standards and expectations for Active Trader Consultants, and hold them accountable for results.
    * Monitor quantitative and qualitative data on ATC’s performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    * Conduct effective sales debriefs with ATC’s through consistent training, reciprocal communication, collaborative learning on performance goals, evaluates progress and follow up.
    * Maintain a team oriented, collaborative, challenging, work environment that fosters creativity and a high level of job satisfaction
    * Demonstrate a high level of knowledgeable assistance to highly valued customers and Investment Branch Financial Consultants, National Branch Financial Consultants, Concierge, Elite and Marketing representatives on our value proposition, competitive landscape and active trader topics including fundamental and technical analysis.
    * Carefully determine appropriate priority of required tasks. Plan work to ensure deadlines are met. Be consistently proactive and utilize available resources.
    * Travel – The Manager, Active Trader Relationship Manager will be called upon to travel and represent E*TRADE at various seminars, Co-sponsored marketing events, Grand Openings, and industry trade shows.

    Requirements

    Knowledge and Skills:

    * Advanced knowledge of the securities industry including equities and derivatives markets
    * Thorough understanding of Power E*TRADE service and product offerings.
    * Strong ability to build relationships—both internally and externally.
    * Demonstrated professionalism in a volatile business environment with minimal supervision
    * Expert consultative selling skills
    * Demonstrates positive and professional customer focused behavior
    * Computer literacy including familiarity with online services, trading solution platforms, PC skills, and technical resolution. Ability to troubleshoot basic to advanced technical problems
    * Identify and work toward common goals with others
    * Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
    * Acts as a catalyst and champion of change; helps build commitment on the sales team to quickly implement change
    * Requires strong work ethic, a passion to excel, extraordinary interpersonal skills, and team-orientation

    Job Prerequisites:

    * Series 3, 7, 24 and 63 REQUIRED
    * Series 4 preferred.
    * Education or Training Equivalent to: BA/BS preferably in business administration, finance or related field
    * 3 years experience in a demanding financial sales environment with proven results, including at least 2 years management experience.
    * 1 year E*TRADE experience preferred

Active Trader Field Sales’ primary responsibility is wholesaling to branch and other cross enterprise partners, retaining and prospecting for high-value clients and developing other Active Trader related business opportunities through education and client consultative services within assigned markets. Activities include one-on-one client and prospect interactions, educational workshop facilitation, and relationship building.

    Brief Description of Role: Active Trader Sales is looking for a stellar relationship manager, educator and sales leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive plan that creates business growth, within a defined market area. Following are the channels in which this will be accomplished:

    Providing client education (via seminars and individual meetings)
    Facilitating direct sales meetings with clients
    Wholesaling to branch financial consultants and management to increase lead flow and market penetration
    Providing regular feedback to Client Experience and Product Development partners

    This position requires significant travel within the assigned market, which includes, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri and Pennsylvania.

    Technical/FunctionalQualifications: – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

    # Minimum of 5 year’s sales experience in the Active Trader, securities or financial services industry
    # Excellent interpersonal, motivational, communication, organizational, decision-making and leadership skills

    Organization Objective/Purpose: Active Investor Sales Consultants work with prospects and clients to broaden and grow the Schwab’s Active Investor client base. AI Consultants focus on driving new business by handling inbound marketing calls, outbound calling on web leads, following up on referrals from branch and service center partners, and making proactive outbound calls on Marketing lists. Consultants actively follow up with clients through the entire sales process, winning new business and then helping the client leverage Schwab’s trading tools and services. AI Consultants will also actively manage relationships with internal partners, providing subject matter expertise and support.

    Brief Description of Role:

    Solid knowledge of Active Trader products, platforms, and the broader spectrum of offers are an essential ingredient for success. Excellent sales skills are a must. Candidates must be able to have engaged trading related conversations with clients/prospects, provide value oriented solutions, and follow through on behalf of the client. They also must be able to recognize the broader needs of traders and partner with local branch staff to gain a trader’s whole financial services relationship.

    Interested parties must be self-motivated, adaptable to quick changes from inbound to outbound focus, and have the ability to build relationships across various Schwab groups. Candidates must be goal oriented and will be accountable for exceptional productivity and delivering outstanding personal sales results. The Active Investor Sales Consultant compensation plan includes a base salary and the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on individual sales performance, as measured by revenue generated to the firm.

    Technical/FunctionalQualifications:

    The qualifications for this position include:

    A minimum of 3 years experience within financial services
    A minimum of two years sales experience
    Series 7 & 63 licenses are required
    Self motivated with good organizational and time management skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Strong sales aptitude with proven productivity track record and history of success
    Ability to negotiate with high value clients
    A solid understanding of Active Investor client needs
    Good Knowledge of technical analysis, advanced trading strategies, active trader products/services/software, and the equity/option markets
    Familiarity of the Active Trader competitive landscape
