Detailed Description 

Overview of Responsibilities:
E*TRADE FINANCIAL is looking for a seasoned product management professional with deep knowledge of US exchange-listed derivatives and/or the cash foreign exchange industry. This position will be responsible for managing others, as well as contributing individually to the successful management of products and production support. Candidate must be highly motivated, extremely well organized, and have excellent leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities:
– Manage and directly supervise a small team of product managers.
– Key contributor to development of the product management strategy as it pertains to US exchange-listed derivatives and/or cash foreign exchange trading.
– Responsible for the successful delivery of software development projects and accountable to others for maintaining relevant scope and meeting timelines.
– Prioritize competing projects and daily workload of team as well as individual assignments.
– Manage full software development life cycle from idea conception to software product implementation.
– Write business requirements and functional specifications based on personal industry knowledge, market research and customer feedback.
– Troubleshoot and facilitate the resolution of production issues.
– Interact closely with business, technology development, marketing, compliance, customer service, and trading teams.
– Demonstrate ownership and sense of urgency in solving business problems in a real-time delivery environment.
– Track and monitor overall retail online competitive landscape for product area.
– Define key business drivers, analyze results and report performance to business leadership.

Job Requirements 

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have deep working knowledge of US exchange-listed derivatives and/or cash foreign exchange trading, combined with a retail online product management background. 

– Has 5-7 years of experience working in a product management capacity within US exchange-traded derivatives and/or cash foreign exchange industry, preferably within the retail online segment.
– Has experience in hiring and building a talented, results-oriented team from scratch.
– Demonstrates expertise in leading cross-functional teams within a medium or large-sized organization.
– Skilled at defining business and functional requirements for all sizes of software development projects.
– Has direct experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Deep understanding of theUSderivatives and/or cash foreign exchange markets.
– Unique prospective to project retail online customer investing needs.
– Proven track-record in managing multiple projects, with demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional results under tight timelines.
– Demonstrates effective leadership and discipline within a dynamic work environment.
– Ability to communicate business goals and functional requirements effectively to any audience within the firm.
– An energetic person with innate ability to motivate and lead others.
– Bachelor’s Degree is required.
