The Alternative Investments team is responsible for the selection and monitoring of alternative asset managers for Private Bank clients. This will include communications with asset managers, internal investors and clients considering the use of an alternative asset manager within an investment program. Managers include multiple asset classes across both equity and fixed income. The team is global and works closely with the asset class leaders within the Private Bank as well as the London based team in building and maintaining the full product suite.

The Head of Equity Strategies will:
* Be the senior asset class leader responsible for the manager search and selection process within the equity long/short and equity market neutral investment space.
* Pro-actively manage the stable of equity managers with an eye toward single manager or multiple manager structures. 
* Articulate how the manager selection process functions and how both external and proprietary strategies fit the Private Bank strategy for internal and external audiences.
* Lead the coordination of information with bankers through the JPM network on all client matters.
* Develop a strong relationship with alternative asset managers to facilitate negotiations and general communications.

The preferred profile of the Head of Equity Strategies:
* 10 years of experience in the equities market within at least 5 years as a Senior Trader or Salesperson focused on absolute returns. 
* The ability to convey knowledge and credibility in front of the managers and investors. 
* Strong analytical skills to frame a decision in a transparent fashion.
