IT Support Analyst-Trading
Join this global proprietary trading firm with over 200 staff members (Traders/IT) globally as an IT Support Analyst. In this position, you will be responsible for providing support to traders, management and staff. The environment is fast-paced, be quick on your feet to respond to questions and problems in a demanding trading environment.
Summary of position: Ideally looking for strong mid-level network and application support experience coming from the trading. We can’t stress communications and team player orientiation. We are looking for a candidate with no more than 3 years of experience who is currently in either a systems support role with a lot if user interface in trading.
Duties and Responsibilities:
# Respond to questions and issues/problems from traders and staff-quickly and efficiently.
# Hardware set-up and support.
# Software installation and maintenance
# Manage proprietary applications
# Optimize system uptime through monitoring, use of change management procedures and immediate response to any outage.
# Develop and maintain system documentation,
# Assist in system upgrades, conversions, and other maintenance.
# Manage telephone, email and voicemail systems; communicate phone lists and changes.
# Manage the office security acces and related records.
# Manage file back-up schema and process.
# Assist with purchasing of IT-related items.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
# Experience in system upgrades, email server experience and troubleshooting.
# Associates/Bachelors Degree a plus
# Ideally 3+ years of trading industry experience working with various Software Vendors: Trading Technologies as well as trading applications such as (Tradehelm, TradingScreen, TradeStation and ORC).
# Familiar with both Microsoft and Linux platforms a definite plus.
# Familiar with supporting various trading analytics and news services such as CQG, Bloomberg, Reuters, X-Trader and X-Study a plus.
# Strong background with Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Office Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007
