Media Trader – Financial Trading – Business Analytics/Strategic Consultant

What you need for this position:
– MUST be a team player, willing to learn new skills, and apply them daily
– Approximately 5 years in business analytics/business strategy
– Have a proven track record in applying mathematical/analytical approaches to solving business problems.
– A background in finance, economics, analytically driven strategic marketing, pricing strategy, or strategic analysis will round out the ideal candidate’s technical skills with practical experience.
– Must have the ability to creatively structure and executive practical analytics, as well as partner and influence across the organization to implement solutions.
– Experienced in building and applying statistical models in a business strategy environment
– Experience in market research and analysis
– Bachelor degree in business/economics/mathematics or another analytical field
– Proficient in SQL
Preferred Skills and Experience:
– Masters degree in business/economics/mathematics or another analytical field
– Econometric modeling experience (particularly applied econometrics)
– Consulting or consultative selling experience
– Previous management experience
– Product strategy experience
– Expert user of at least one Business Intelligence software tool. SAS, SPSS, Clementine, Spotfire, Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.
What you’ll be doing:
– Take the lead in developing and deploying insights that enable our organization to optimize profit while staying aligned with its strategic goals.
– Much like a stock trader, the Media Trader will take the day to day lead in ensuring that pricing, inventory acquisition, and ad spend investments are aligned to optimize yield.
– The Media Trader will also be a conduit between the Trading Desk, Ad Operations and the Product Development team to ensure that product and pricing strategy are aligned.
