    FRONT OFFICE PROGRAMMER-JUNIOR TRADER Base up to 125k plus up to 100% bonus based on performance of firm. If the firm makes a lot of money trading energy, so will you

    IN a nutshell, we need a junior to mid level programmer who will deal with traders (they have 3 futures traders and 3 options traders). This person will be responsible for architecting and coding high frequency trading systems. They need experience with high frequency, low latency systems.
    Requirements You can either have Java or C# or .Net experience, someone who wants to program and trade would be a perfect fit. This is not for a pure programmer this is someone who gets the business side a little bit and wants to learn. This person will at some point based on what they can do will have the opportunity to program their own trading strategies.

    Someone up to 7 years out of school would be perfect. Someone who is currently in a smaller boutique front office would be great. Must have excellent communication skills, and be able to sit with the traders all the time.

    Exciting opportunity for a dynamic and talented technologist. Candidate will be part of the technology team that supports market connectivity for a real-time automated bonds electronic trading environment. Candidate will be co-located with traders on the trading floor.

    He/she will be responsible for understanding and supporting existing technology while designing and implementing new Projects. Candidate is also expected to participate in Independent testing of components developed by other developers in the team.

    Production support is an integral part of this position and the candidate must exhibit a strong service-oriented attitude and diligence in supporting the mission critical trading environments

    Requirements Technical requirements:
    ———————————
    • minimum 7 years Java language experience with predominantly server side development, solid experience with Unix based systems, shell scripting
    • significant architectural capability, track record for designing and building reliable distributed architectures
    • extensive experience with messaging based infrastructures and Direct experience with Tibco RV / EMS / Hawk highly desirable
    • experience with FIX messaging
    • experience in D2C interaction with implementation experience in coding to the APIs of various Electronic Commerce Network (ECN) like TradeWeb/MarketAxess/BondDesk/BondPoint/MuniCenter etc.
    • experience with various real-time Bloomberg Protocols
    • experience in D2D interaction with various Credit Brokers is a big plus
    • strong knowledge of databases and performance impact of various data access operations invoked from a JDBC client
    • some experience with GUI development with either Java Swing or web-based GUI development
    • experience with C# and C++ / .net will be added advantage

    Business requirements:

    • Understanding of fixed income markets required; more sophisticated knowledge a plus
    • Experience with electronic trading
    • Knowledge of corporate bond market a plus

    • Must be able to be position himself for both production support and development roles at the same time
    • Must be able to be a part of early morning 7:00 am rotational production support
