Responsibilities :
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for trading ethanol and ethanol feedstocks in the US market. The primary trading focus will be to:
- Establish very strong and professional customer relationships with other Traders, suppliers and end users.
- Work with the other global team members to optimize opportunities for international arbitrage.
- In consultation with other members of team and the team leader trade paper positions.
- Share knowledge and develop market drivers market and proactively exchange information and views with the rest of the Shell Trading network.
- Drive short and medium term strategy for Trading of specific products and feedstocks within your responsibility.
- Assist with the Coordination of business development opportunities.
You will be responsible for negotiating and executing profitable trades on both spot and term basis. In so doing you will:
- Gather and share valuable market and competitive intelligence with relevant other Shell traders and internal affiliates.
- Identify trading opportunities; make use of Trading techniques benefiting from and beneficial to Shell Trading as well as the Shell Group manufacturing and supply portfolio.
- Work with associated chartering, operations and contracts groups to extract maximum value from every deal- check and update Trading systems daily to ensure it is correctly reflecting the Mark to Market and Exposure by each close of business.
- Constantly seek to improve and optimize existing trade flows and devise and implement new value propositions.
RequirementsRequirements :
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Agriculture or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years trading experience.
- Minimum three (3) years experience trading in the agriculture or ethanol sector.
