Job Description
Entry level equity traders at Baird work closely with senior traders in a fast paced environment that emphasizes teamwork. In this position, Associates are trained thoroughly about the function of U.S. equity markets. After an initial training period, entry level traders will be assigned to either the Principal Trading desk or the Sales-Trading desk.
Traders assigned to the over-the-counter (Principal) desk learn the intricacies of the function of Baird’s principal trading systems and will be expected, after an initial period, to assume market-making responsibilities for trading stocks in a specific industry.
Those assigned to the sales-trading desk will also learn the function of the U.S. equity markets, with greater emphasis placed on day-to-day fundamental research driven trading activity. Sales-traders are generally assigned to work with customers based in a specific geographical area and will be expected to buy and sell securities upon any customer request. Sales-traders are also expected to form strong relationships with the customer’s entire trading staff.
Opportunities are located in Milwaukee, WI.

Our prestige trading software vendor has an immediate need for a Jr. Trading Software Support Specialist. We tend to like candidates who have been involved with the Trading or Financial services with some finance background, either from a University or direct experience at a trading firm.
