Our client is a Financial firm and I am currently hiring for a Trading Support Specialist. In this role, you will be working in a fast pace, high pressure environment with cutting edge technology. 

    The Trading System Associate is responsible for the day-to-day support of the firms core Trade Order Management System which includes responding to unexpected system outages/urgent needs during trading hours, and serving as a liaison to IS and technical service groups. Other major duties include data reporting and analysis projects, administrative support, and designing/testing of Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

    Requirements Experience working in Financial environments is a must. Experience with broker/dealer trading systems and applications, as well as back-office operations preffered 
    Strong systems, investigative and problem solving skills; Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and appropriate resolutions 
    Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects 
    Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to clearly define projects, objectives, goals, schedules and assignments 
    Good organization skills with strong attention to detail 
    Proficiency in MS Office especially with Excel 
    Knowledge of VBA and other scripting languages 
    Data analysis skills; SQL skills preferred 
    High-level understanding of networking technology including Microsoft server environments 
    Ability to work effectively with business personnel at all levels as well as with outside vendors and contractors 
    Must exercise a reasonable amount of independent judgment under a minimum of supervision; proactive and takes initiative 
    Require strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines. 
    Self-motivated with strong work ethic, honesty and integrity

    Job Description – Quality Assurance Analyst / Tester
    Description
    The candidate will perform manual and develop automated testing for our real-time trading platform. This role requires frequent interaction with developers, product managers, and client support analysts in order to ensure that we deliver a quality-trading platform to our users.
      
    Responsibilities
    • Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy and test cases
    • Strong background in reviewing business and functional requirements in order to produce a test strategy and test cases
    • Automation of regression test scripts
    • Perform manual and automated functional and regression testing on all internally developed applications to certify them for production implementation
    • Report and manage software issues and test activities throughout the software development life cycle
    • Work closely with other QA department members to create/maintain manual and automated regression scripts
    Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four year college or university with a major in computer science, finance or mathematics
    • Minimum 3 Years of hands-on automation scripting experience
    • FIX API testing experience is preferred
    • Must be proficient with one of the existing mainstream automation tools (Only possessing record and playback knowledge is insufficient in this case)
    • Must be proficient in one of the scripting languages. Preferably Perl or Jython
    • Must be proficient with SQL
    • Knowledge of SQA methodologies and practices
    • Extensive knowledge of testing process, testing methodology analysis and defect reporting tools
    • Ability to work independently and productively under pressure
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and decision making ability
    • Knowledge of CDS business and industry is a plus
    • Experience in Load/Performance automation testing is a plus

    Responsibilities
     
  • Responsible for the support of the Trade Order Management System, as well as the interface programs. Resolve system issues utilizing internal MIS or external vendor resources as appropriate. Conduct user training as needed.
  • Manage projects that facilitate improvements in workflow processes. Liaison between Back Office, Operations, MIS and end users.
  • Maintain system files by setting up and closing accounts, adding new securities and brokers, etc. Develop internal procedures and train system administrator backup.
  • Participate in other duties as assigned by management.

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA and/or CFA a plus.
  • Three years operations, trading or other industry related experience
  • One year experience in a training or system support role
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong results orientation
