The Opportunity:
The role of the Commodity/FX Trading Associate is to supervise the execution of proprietary orders across various alternative asset classes and global markets during the Asian market hours.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor orders and confirm execution of trades between 3PM and 11:30PM Sunday through Thursday.
• Backup 3rd shift as needed, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Resolve any problems or questions from trading counterparties.
• Provide support to the overall trading team with general trade entry tasks.
• Independently work on relevant trading projects.
• Produce market commentary on an ad hoc basis.

Minimum

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance field required
• Must be a recent college graduate or a candidate with up to 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Candidate must have a desire to have a career in capital markets.
• Series 3 licenses holder or must be obtained within 60 days of starting the position.
• A strong analytical background, interpersonal skills and an initiative to succeed.
• Will commit to at least working 2 years on the 2nd shift.
• Prior work or internship experience at a financial firm is desirable.
• Detail oriented, independent and creative worker with innovative problem solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and VBA strongly preferred
• Effective in multitasking and adept at handling high-risk situations.
