Senior Trader – Proprietary

•         Responsible for trading energy commodities with focus on the East power markets. 

•         Tenor of trade ranges from intraday through 5 years, depending on assigned book. 

•         High level of competency in trading strategies, physical market knowledge, regulatory market design, and competitive marketplace profile. 

•         Must be able to bring a track record of profitable trading while abiding by and managing positions within VaR, P&L variance, and stop loss limits commensurate with the authorized position size.

•         Ability and desire to perform individual research, deal entry management, and monthly reconciliation. 

•         Work with origination and risk analytics groups to price and hedge structured transactions.

•         Position may require making markets for internal groups such as asset optimization, origination and full requirements.

•         Create and maintain forward curves.

•         Willingness and desire to train less experienced traders expected.

•         Must be a highly organized and disciplined trader.

•         Incentive compensation is completely based on individual’s success of  profitably managing a proprietary trading book

•         Four year degree; advanced degree preferred.

•         Three years of relevant experience required.
