Responsibilities: The Global Client Valuation Group is responsible for the dissemination of client valuations of various derivative products, ensuring full compliance with the Investment Bank’s Client Valuation Policy. This Group provides a key service to Clients and Sales/Business by escalating and resolving client issues related to Valuation statements and portfolio reconciliations. The unit requires excellent product knowledge as well as a strong customer service mind set. The teams support a wide variety of products ranging from Credit, Rates and Equities to Bond pricing and structured notes amongst other things.

Key functions include:

• Frequent interaction and exposure to external clients to establish valuation requirements.
• Investigating, Escalating, and Resolving client inquires related to valuation and portfolio reconciliation breaks
• Working closely with traders, middle office, policy and sales to confirm accurate valuations on a regular basis
• Liaise with Legal and Compliance on policy and control issues
• Proactively work with sales and clients to understand servicing needs and requirements
• Working on a variety of ad hoc tasks associated with process improvement initiatives, system functionality, in house training & job shadowing

As a staff member of the Global Finance Desk you will work with traders, sales people, credit executives, and settlements in order to mitigate risk associated with repo transactions. You will also be responsible for portfolio

Providing valuations to clients is an integral part of the service that is expected of the client by their clients, many of whom require valuations for risk management, financial reporting or regulatory purposes.

• Strong client service skills: The unit is extremely “client service focused” and has a great deal of interaction with clients, sales and trading and middle office globally thus requiring high level of professionalism
• Product Knowledge: Understanding of broad range of financial products (e.g. Bonds, Swaps, Commodities, FX, Options, Equity and Credit Derivatives) and any embedded components to value various trade structures or packages
• Ability to prioritize, organize workload and react swiftly especially under pressure at peak periods, strong team player
• Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel. Access is a plus. Pricing tools e.g. Bloomberg (CDSW). Internal applications such as, Coast, Call Tracking, Athena, Kapital
• Collateral knowledge and background is a plus
• Must demonstrate excellent analytical skills must be able to work independently, under limited supervision, in a varying environment (change-adaptive)
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business or equivalent work experience required
